    Flash Mobs

An interesting social phenomenon being enabled by modern technology:

The seeming spontaneous forming of mobs of people who cover a wide spectrum of society and have little in common... created through online associations, instant communication, and a highly mobile population. Or rather... Damn Cool.

    Nerevarine Prophecies Fulfilled!

I finally finished the main quest in Morrowind after about 80 or so hours of playtime. Its probably more then that but I really don't want to think about it. I found about half the main quest fun and the other half tedious. I ended up resorting to a walkthrough during the "Make 15,000 Trips Around The World And Get Everyone To Name You Whatever" part just so I could get it over with.

The final boss of the quest, Dagoth Ur, was challenging and fun. At first I feared my extra time spent dicking around in the world and getting "uber loot" would mean this part, like many other parts, would be a tad on the easy side. Luckily it took a good 5 tries before I figured out I had to swallow health potions like a french man swallows bacteria piss while stabbing a magical heart with an overglorified letter opener. Hell, I was more then glad to see the fucker die... He just would not shut up!

I found finishing the quest very satisfying. I found it about as satisfying as getting my bard to lvl 50 on DAOC. Except maybe with Morrowind my character isn't gimp and best played as a bot.

So in summary... I have no life, but at least I found a good (fun!) away to piss away some time. I guess I'll have to go work on one of the expansion packs now (woo... warewolves!) while waiting for the next carebear fantasy MMORPG to come out.
